The Iowa Soccer Development Foundation, established in 2020 as the 501(c)(3) nonprofit owner of the Pro Iowa Stadium and Global Plaza, was created to lead the Pro Iowa campaign — an initiative aimed at strengthening central Iowa’s identity as a thriving, vibrant community through the development of a multiuse stadium and plaza.

Together, the Pro Iowa Stadium and Global Plaza will energize Iowa’s economy, unite people through shared experiences and provide opportunities for underserved, at-risk youth to experience the global game of soccer. The ISDF will own the Pro Iowa Stadium and Global Plaza when the project is completed.

Mission

The Iowa Soccer Development Foundation was established in 2020 to lead the transformation of Iowa’s sports and entertainment landscape. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the ISDF focuses on revitalizing a 38-acre Superfund site in Des Moines, turning it into Iowa’s first professional soccer stadium and multiuse plaza.

Vision

Guided by community leaders and a dedicated board, the ISDF’s mission is not just about building a stadium — it’s about creating jobs, fostering economic growth and providing lasting opportunities for Iowa’s youth.

The ISDF is dedicated to developing a world-class venue for professional soccer in Iowa, creating a platform for the sport to thrive and bringing international attention to Des Moines. This initiative will help ensure the state's continued vibrancy and global engagement.
